Nathan Slaymaker is a litigation associate at Gary Massey Injury Lawyers. He’s a Central Florida native, and that’s where he began his law practice. In 2022, he moved to East Tennessee, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Nathan has honed his craft in a wide variety of practice areas—both civil and criminal—as a specialist and a general practitioner. Now, he’s committed to helping people who have lost something. Whether it’s their health, functionality, normalcy, or treasured possessions, Nathan works hard to help make his clients whole again.
At Gary Massey Injury Lawyers, Nathan works with the litigation team to handle cases that will be filed as lawsuits. He became an attorney in order to help people, and he’s pleased to be able to represent his clients when they need to rebuild their lives after car accidents. Nathan was proud to advocate for victims when he was the DUI prosecutor for the 10th District of Tennessee and is grateful for the opportunity to help victims of loss put their lives back together, too.
Nathan is getting married on July 4, 2026, to his fiancée Juandré, and he’s very excited to begin their life together. He’s heavily involved in his local church, Grace Reformed Baptist Church. Outside of the office, Nathan enjoys playing board games and discussing the craft and philosophy involved in film and television.
“I believe that if someone hurts someone else or takes something away from them, that person deserves to be made whole. I also know that legal situations can be difficult, scary, and stressful – I want to be able to help counsel my clients through that process, to make it as easy as possible. They have way too much on their plate to have to worry about their lawyer, too.”
– Nathan Slaymaker
I help clients through their entire lawsuit, from filing to trial, by drafting motions, fighting in court, providing counsel, advocating for them, and explaining the whole process every step of the way. I research, draft, file, and argue personal injury litigation cases, primarily car crashes, but also slip-and-falls, premises liability cases, employment cases, and dog bites. I’m also frequently involved in formal and informal mediation and negotiation.
