About Josh
Josh Ward is a Partner and Senior Litigation Attorney at Gary Massey Injury Lawyers, where he also serves as the firm’s Chief Litigation Officer.
As the leader of the firm’s litigation department, Josh is personally involved in every case. He works closely with the firm’s attorneys and legal team to help ensure each client receives the high-level representation, careful preparation, and personal attention they deserve.
Josh represents injured people and families throughout Tennessee and Georgia in a wide range of personal injury cases. His work frequently involves standing up to large insurance companies, commercial carriers, corporate defendants, and other powerful organizations.
Known for his hands-on approach, Josh prioritizes listening to his clients, understanding their circumstances, and developing legal strategies designed to produce full and fair results—whether through a negotiated settlement or trial.

He has successfully tried cases in Tennessee state courts and federal courts, bringing extensive courtroom experience to every matter he handles. Josh understands that meaningful results require more than simply filing a claim. They require detailed preparation, a clear understanding of the evidence, and the willingness to take a case to trial when the defendant refuses to accept responsibility.
Josh spends much of his time working directly with clients, analyzing case details, preparing litigation strategies, and making important decisions intended to maximize each client’s outcome and compensation.
His leadership helps create consistency across the firm’s litigation efforts while reinforcing a client-first approach at every stage of the legal process.

Chattanooga Roots
Josh was born and raised in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, and has deep roots in Hamilton County. Both of his parents and his grandparents are natives of the Chattanooga area.
After completing law school, Josh returned home to the Scenic City to build his career serving the people and families of the community he knows best.
Today, Josh and his wife, Brittany, are raising their children, Laurel, Lily, and Art, with the same close-knit family values that shaped his own upbringing.

Outside the office, Josh enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children. Whether they are camping, hiking, exploring a creek, or simply spending time together outside, Josh and his family are rarely far from the outdoors.
Josh also enjoys cooking for his family, including smoking meats and baking cookies with his daughters.
His faith is an important part of his life. Josh and his family attend Red Bank Church of Christ.
